Happy Families
As you have probably gathered both Max and I have now got very used to Oscar being around. He has been with us for about four weeks now and has settled in as one of the family. We take it in turns to play and he has helped us remember some of our very favourite games from when we were small kittens - not that he is a SMALL kitten! He is already tipping the scales at over 6lb 10oz and he is only around 18 weeks old! I weigh 7lb so as you can imagine he is learning to throw his weight around. As you would expect I am taking some time to teach him good manners, well we both are! We will play nicely with him providing he plays nicely with us - if he gets a bit too boisterous then I tell him to be a bit more gentle or we won't play and he is beginning to get the message - thank goodness! |

Because the weather is mild and sunny we spend quite a lot of time out in the garden either exploring or playing race and chase games. There are lots of shrubs to play hide and seek in, around or under and if the sun is hot they are also good places to grab a quiet snooze (just so long as Oscar doesn't find us!) There are also a few trees left to climb although they mostly have 'collars' on them now so although Max has shown Oscar how to climb trees neither of them get very far. This morning we were all having a quiet snooze and Joan had a day off work. Suddenly the internal phone started to ring and guess what Oscar had pressed the 'call' button with his paw! We are just hoping that he doesn't think he can use it instead of the alarm clock to wake us all up! Lara |
